Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to every customer of the Stanch service and to everyone who uses it, including the people a customer invites to the console. It forms part of our Terms of Service; words defined there have the same meaning here.
1. Use Stanch to protect data, openly
Stanch exists to stop sensitive information from leaving an organisation. You must not use it:
- to monitor people covertly, or without the notice, consent or consultation the law requires where they work;
- on devices that your organisation does not own or manage for work, or to monitor people who are not your workforce, without a lawful basis and their knowledge;
- to evaluate people’s productivity or performance, to build profiles of their behaviour unrelated to protecting data, or to target anyone for exercising a legal right, such as raising a concern, reporting wrongdoing or taking part in employee representation;
- to collect more information than your data-protection and security purposes need, for example by turning on evidence collection or broad monitoring without a justified reason.
2. Lawful use
You must not use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, or to store or send material that is unlawful, infringing or malicious. You must not register, as values or documents for Stanch to detect, data you have no right to use for that purpose.
3. Security and integrity
You must not:
- access, or try to access, another customer’s data or any account, system or network you are not authorised to use;
- probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities, except as allowed on our Security page, or load-test it without our written agreement;
- bypass or interfere with the Service’s security, authentication, tenant separation, usage limits or licence limits;
- disrupt the Service or place an unreasonable load on it;
- introduce malicious code, or tamper with the Software in a way that could weaken protection on a device;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the Service or the Software, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction.
4. Other restrictions
You must not resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties except as your order form allows; use it to build a competing product; or remove proprietary notices from it. When using Stanch Agent, you must not try to make it reveal its instructions or other customers’ information, or use it to generate unlawful content.
5. Reporting and enforcement
Report a suspected breach of this policy to contact@stanch.ai, and a security vulnerability to security@stanch.ai.
If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may investigate, require the breach to stop, and suspend or end access as our Terms of Service allow. Where the law requires, or to protect people or the Service, we may cooperate with the authorities.
We may update this policy by publishing a new version on this page; changes that materially affect customers take effect as our Terms of Service describe.
